SSE TestCenter is freely accessible with no registration, no account, and no API key. All protocol endpoints, hostnames, and test files are intentionally open so that engineers can test their SSE products, proxies, and HTTP clients without friction.
We intend to keep it this way. The site is operated by Cloud Fellows GmbH as a public service to the SSE and network security engineering community.
To ensure fair availability for all users, a rate limit is applied per source IP by default. The default quota is generous for normal interactive use and manual protocol testing, but it will throttle sustained automated traffic or high-volume download tests.
When the quota is exceeded, the server returns a 429 Too Many Requests
response with a Retry-After header indicating when the quota resets.
No data is retained beyond what is needed to enforce the limit.
Engineers who need higher throughput — for example, automated test suites, continuous integration pipelines, or performance benchmarking — can register for a higher quota license at no cost. Please contact us, briefly describe your use case, and we will provide a quota license for your source IP range or a dedicated token.
